Day 1 - Winslow (What were we thinking?)

We left the house at about 5:30 and stopped in Flagstaff at starbucks around 8:30 . It was so cool and was so nice to see pine trees. We headed on to Winslow and stopped at the La Posada Hotel , this is an old .Fred Harvey Hotel that was popular in the 30s . It has been restored to its original state. It seems to be the only reason anyone would ever stay in Winslow, which is a hole !! Took a few pics there and headed on to a cute little restaurant in Gallup which amazingly had a great green chile burger and we finished our trek for the day in Grants NM . We will be in Santa Fe early in the morning and will have way better pics for you.
