Day 9 - Niagara Falls, Ithaca

We spent the night in Erie Pa. left early so that we could go yard saling. I was a little disapointed in the yard saling the people apparently don't start early in the morning like Arizona. We didn't find one yard sale till 8:30 and I only found marginal merchandise... Oh well. On to Niagara Falls . The Falls were beautiful. We got a few good pictures. It was a warm day and the minute we left it started pouring. Timing is everything. We drove down to Ithaca to see an old friend, Leslie ( shes' not old ) and her partner Allyson . I have known Leslie my entire life. Her dad and my dad were best friends. We couldn't have had a better time. Leslie and Allyson were wonderful hosts. We had the best food, non stop. Homemade gelato, fresh corn fritters and fresh peach shortcakes with a brandy whipped cream on top...OMG. We should have a bet on how much weight we will gain on this trip. There home is surrounded by forest and a pond and flowers it was awesome. We spent sunday going to wine tastings. The finger lakes are full of vineyards. Needless to say it was alot of fun. We hated to leave but they were off to work and we were on our way to NYC . We did make a little pit stop to see Joes' step brother and wife in Rockhill. We will be back to visit with them next week. We will be going to Manhattan later today. Thanks for looking.
